Mahindra South Africa (SA) has launched a new range of tractors and agricultural implements in the domestic market.
Mahindra SA says these products will be phased in.
The range includes products from Sampo Rosenlew, Finland, Mitsubishi Mahindra Agri Machinery, Japan, and Hisarlar and Erkunt equipment, Turkey.
Together with the Mahindra EarthMaster Yellow Metal and Mahindra Powerol generators, these products will be offered as a “world of solutions” to the South African farmer.
To provide the farmer with this wide range of products, the local branch of the Indian group has also announced the opening of seven tractor dealerships in South Africa and Namibia.
They are located in Randfontein, Brits, Strand, Nigel, Malelane, Groblersdal (with a satellite branch in Middelburg) and Windhoek.
Mahindra SA announces that it will soon announce the appointment of additional dealers and that it will further expand its range of agricultural equipment to include more products from its global subsidiaries.
With Mahindra tractors and farm equipment sold in South Africa since 2019, the move means Mahindra SA will distribute, sell and service Mahindra Farm Equipment products for the first time directly through its network of authorized dealers.
It also represents the next step in the group’s move to ‘establish South Africa as its second home outside India’, and it follows investments in an assembly plant for semi-disassembled vehicles ( 2018), a vehicle assembly center (2019), a new national warehouse (2020) and a technical training center (2020).
When launching the farm equipment, Mahindra said it will offer a mechanical warranty of up to three years and 3,000 hours and a two-year and 2,000-hour service kit that will come standard with all tractors sold by Mahindra.
Mahindra SA also promises minimum tractor downtime with a three working day promise of tractor failure.
This process will be enabled by technology through the MZanzi app, which already offers a suite of services to Mahindra automotive customers. This application is now also extended to the company’s agricultural equipment customers.
“There has never been any doubt about Mahindra’s commitment to South Africa and its people. We have made several long-term commitments in the country and look forward to further expanding our product and service offering, both for farmers and other industries, ”said the CEO of Mahindra SA. Rajesh gupta.
“We believe that our unique service offerings will not only make Mahindra tractors as popular in South Africa as they are across Africa and the world, but also remind new customers, as well as farmers. existing ones, our commitment to them.
